Mowcuss Melish, or better known as "The Developer" is the overarching antagonist in the Godzilla vs Monkey series, serving as one of the two overarching antagonists (alongside Mecha Kong) of season 1, the overarching antagonist of season 2, the main antagonist of season 3, & the posthumous overarching antagonist of season 4.
He was first a supporting character working as a bartender and a mechanic with small amount of screentime, then was revealed to be The Developer, a persona that he took so that he could become the terrifying head of his empire. He is the boss of Mecha Kong and Mecha Triangle, the leader of the Militia and the owner of Mowcuss's Saloon & Repair.
However he was killed while piloting Prime Mecha Triangle when the machine blew up after Monkey threw one of The Crimson Hunter's into the cockpit and sealing it shut on him where it exploded inside which caused Mecha Triangle to catch fire and explode taking the Developer with the machine at the end of Season 3.
Personality
Mowcuss at first seems like a friendly & helpful guy with attitude who would freely offer help or service to anyone, especially to species as same as him, but has a got a bit of a temper due to people pronouncing his name incorrectly. When revealing his true form however, he is hostile and cunning whose plan is to only have concepts around him who know nothing but his rule. As a small lizard, he has his ways of becoming successful with the use of manipulation and intelligence. With his intelligence, he is capable of creating robotic bodyguards for himself, and with his manipulation skills he is able to completely trick Triangle and the others into thinking he's an ally, and even got his router back this way with low effort. When Noodle Neck arrived in his bar, he planned to turn the dragon in to the Milita, but he stopped himself due to pity & potential use, thinking that he could keep Noodle-neck hidden as long as he helps Mowcuss with his work, thus using him and making Noodle-neck think he was a friend and it was only out of pity- and partially for thinking he could manipulate the Kaiju for his own purposes.
Mowcuss is brave and secretive, showing no fear when being pinned to the wall by Triangle, and instead managed to figure out his feelings and intentions, while having an upgraded version of Mecha Triangle hidden in the darkness. His idea of Project Reset shows his determination to stop at nothing in his quest for power until every Concept in existence is enslaved and proved that he could achieve dominance through years of effort undercover, even if it means bringing death to all.
Biography
Season 2
Shortly after Triangle and Monkey discover the Concepts City, they decide to find a hiding place so they can get out of plain sight. They enter "Mowcuss's Saloon & Repair", a bar owned by Mowcuss Melish. The two first seem a bit weirded out by the place, then Mowcuss shows up and greets them, offering them a mechanic or a drink. Triangle asks him questions, while Monkey argues with him about chimps being apes, and is confused by Mowcuss' name. He tells the duo that they're in the Concepts Domain, the home of all failed or forgotten concepts. He then points out that he has never seen them two before and asks them where they are from. Monkey tells him that "this Lennard guy" told them that they were from the Monster-Verse, that is when everyone gets shocked and looks at the two, including Mowcuss. The reptile tells the duo to go to the booth where Noodle Neck is having a drink, he also advices them to not leave this place, and then he walks away. Triangle and Monkey then meet up with Noodle Neck.
Season 3
He was later revealed to be the developer and intended with project reset. Mowcuss revealed he intended his army to capture Triangle, Monkey and Noodle Neck when they arrived but waited to see if anyone else was with them but once he saw the Router in their possession, he went to get his army but they took off in the Daniel Craig before they can arrive. Mowcuss would fake capture himself to make them give up the Router. Only for him to reveal his true colors and have Mecha Triangle Prime almost kill Triangle. Intending to cause project reset but was foiled by Triangle where he would get inside of Mecha Triangle Prime intending to destroy them all. But after Monkey taunts him he is exposed and Triangle impales Mowcuss exposed before Monkey tossed one of the Crimson Hunter's genernades into the cockpit and closes it on him killing him in a explosion that destroyed Mecha Triangle Prime.
Abilities and Skills
High Intelligence
Mowcuss is the creator of his secret empire with high technological features, such as robotic soldiers, weapons, supercomputers, and so on. He was able to upgrade Mecha Triangle to the point that he was toying with Triangle. He is the creator of the Project Reset protocol which is designed to erase every concept with the help of the Router, a gadget that Mowcuss himself created.
Manipulation
Mowcuss is a mechanical genius who is also capable of deceiving and making individuals fall into his brilliant traps. He used Noodle Neck for personal gain and was able to trick the dragon into falsely trusting him for months. Mowcuss was also able to somewhat gaslight Triangle while risking his life, showing how he can keep a cool head under pressure.
Leadership
He is the skilled emperor and leader of the Milita, an army full of troops and generals with emotions and he is capable of leading them with ease, even without making a physical appearance. He's able to create/repair androids to be his bodyguards, which do a terrific job.

Small Physique
Mowcuss is an extremely small reptile and cannot defend himself alone from the likes of Triangle. He instead uses emotional intelligence and preparation to get enemies away from him and prefers to stay behind the scenes. If he needs to fight he would use Prime Mecha Triangle as a battle suit requiring time for him to arrive making him vulnerable in the meantime.
This allowed him to meet his end as Triangle impaled him with an a metal beam and then had Monkey throw a grenade in Prime Mecha Triangle's cockpit and closed it on him, the explosion would end up killing him.
Relationships
Noodle Neck
Noodle Neck and Mowcuss go far back. Noodle-neck first considered Mowcuss as a friend who does not want to cause any trouble, while Mowcuss first considered Noodle Neck as a despairing hider who can be kept in the saloon as long as he helps with his projects. Noodle Neck trusted Mowcuss and would not have left him behind, when in reality Mowcuss did not need any help due to being the Developer in secret. When he revealed himself as the Developer, Noodle Neck felt betrayed and immediately became against him.
Triangle
When first meeting Triangle, he seemed friendly to him, claiming that he would do anything for a fellow reptile, and is willing to answer any question. However, Triangle immediately argues with him, asking what kind of name has he got, but he quickly cuts to the chase and asks about the place. Mowcuss thought he already had something to drink, but he proceeded went on with the conversation. When Triangle was about to ask about the Developer to Noodle Neck, Mowcuss wanted to change the topic and started taking measurements of Triangle because he saw him as the ideal design for creating his ultimate android (AKA Mecha Triangle), but Triangle was weirded out by this and asked Noodle Neck if they should be concerned, but he was left unanswered. Triangle would've rather destroyed the router than giving it to the Milita and "letting Mowcuss go", meaning that Triangle's concern about getting his revenge is more worthy than saving others. Mowcuss quickly acknowledges Triangle that he is not the one he wants to kill, but rather Mecha Kong, and was able to figure his entire intention.
Monkey
They do not talk that much to each other, but Mowcuss still sees him as a thorn on his side. At the saloon, Mowcuss immediately started discriminating Monkey after he was confused by his name, but Monkey would've still saved Mowcuss if the decision was up to him.
Mecha Kong, Mecha Triangle
Apparently, Mowcuss found both of them at the foot of the breach in their universe. The mechas begged for them to spare their lives, and so Mowcuss did, but one condition; they needed to join their side. The mechas wanted to be on the winning team, and so they joined and even became generals of the Milita. However, Mowcuss wasn't really impressed with their work, due to Mecha Kong creating a replacement biome for Triangle and Monkey where they are able to duke it out by having their memories erased out of curiosity, and Mecha Triangle for interfering with their fight in the replacement biome and ended up getting himself killed. However, he is still willing to keep them in the Milita, and even upgraded Mecha Triangle to the ultimate android, making him his bodyguard.
Mr. Ivanov †
Ivanov is Mowcuss' assistant in making the Project Reset protocol. They both work behind the scenes but do not seem to share any interests outside of work.

- Mowcuss was voiced by Cougar Macdowall in Season 2, and in Season 3 his voice actor has been replaced with an anonymous individual.
- When Cougar voiced the character he used the voice he used for his portrayal of Godzilla in his various videos. When he had his Godzilla and Kong puppets react to the video, Godzilla got mad he had his voice but warmed up to it eventually. [1]
